I have been asked this question many, many times by those thinking about starting a windshield repair business: Why should I start a windshield repair business instead of some other type of business?
 

Connect the manifold gauge set as discussed above. Connect the yellow hose to the can tap valve and fix auto glass seat (turn clockwise) the valve. Close the blue gauge on the manifold gauge set. Open the valve on the can tap valve. Slowly open the valve on the blue or "low-side" gauge and let the refrigerant flow from the refrigerant can into the system until you see a reading of 60psi on the "low-side" gauge. TIP: Placing the refrigerant can in a pan of hot water will allow the vapor refrigerant to enter the A/C system quicker. WARNING: Do not invert the refrigerant can. Doing so will allow liquid refrigerant to enter the system resulting in a ruined compressor.

Repeat the process for the opposite side. Set the sash aside making sure you know which is the top and the bottom sash. Place a wood block into the track opening and cut the card knot. The block will help catch the sash weight and allow you to pull it out of the pocket. Remove the pulleys. The pulleys and the weights will no longer be used.

If the crack is small, then we can still fix them. Those hairline cracks and small holes are easy to fix. The car owner will only spend a minimal amount when they fix them. This will save them more money that they can use for other purposes. To change the entire windshield can cost a week's allowance. In this case, it is wise to invest in quick-fix solutions for small cracks and holes for the car windshield. When we buy windshield repair kits today, it comes with an instruction guide that is easy to follow. It also comes with tools that are necessary in fixing the crack or holes. Quick repair kits and solutions are available in any department store and local auto shops.

On most car windows there is a small triangle printed from the manufacturer. Under the fix auto glass repair serial number is a small point with a number. This is the year of manufacture of the window. With popular car models this figure represents the model year. For example a 7 would indicate a model from 1997. If one window has an alternative number it may mean that the window has been replaced due chip or crack damage (windshield) or burglary (side window). If the windshield and side window have a different number from the rest of the windows, this could mean that the car has had a collision. Due to damage the windows have been replaced.

I found some relays for the General Module and ordered them for $75. They arrived a few days later.

Windshield repair techs come and go on a daily basis. The majority struggle to survive. Most fail. It's not that they're not good at what they do, it's not that they don't have the skills, it's not that they're not willing to work hard, it's their lack of MARKETING Training. That's the bottom line: It all comes down to proper marketing strategies.
